Set on a hillside above the Ayung River, Satyanara is a home for art, ideas, and creative exchange. Secluded among paddy fields, the estate is composed of spaces inspired by the Balinese courtyard.
Our three galleries present year-round exhibitions, each with its own curatorial identity. An amphitheater, workshop space, artist residencies, a café, and a retail space extend the experience across the estate.
A thematic residency program invites artists whose practices engage with Asian art and heritage to live and work in response to Satyanara’s curatorial program. Alongside the residencies and exhibitions, public programs create opportunities for meaningful encounters with art and culture. Ubud Art Ground, Satyanara’s annual curator-led artist fair, brings this community together in a wider public gathering each year.
Satyanara welcomes artists, curators, researchers, collectors, gallerists, museums, and cultural institutions that share a commitment to heritage and contemporary expression, creating opportunities to collaborate, exchange ideas, and grow together.
Satyanara is supported by Yayasan Satya Djaya Raya (YSDR), a foundation established by the Lyman family to steward its commitment to art, culture, and education.
